  • Does it cost me anything to use a live virtual proctor?
    Yes, live virtual proctoring is available for purchase via the ICPM web store - View By Category - Study Aids & Add-ons -
  • How many exam attempts do I get?
    All ICPM® exams are allowed one attempt per exam. If you happen to fail your exam, you can retake that exam by purchasing an Exam Retake from the ICPM store. There are no limits on how many times you retake the exams provided the retake fee has been paid/cleared.
  • When is my test deadline?
    Certified Manager students have 15 months to complete their exams from the original purchase date. Your course expiration date is displayed on your ICPM account page. 1-month exam extensions are available at the following link: https://icpm.net/product/cm-program-renewal-1-month/ . Certified Supervisor students have 12 months to complete their exam from the original purchase date.   • How do I purchase an exam retake?
    To purchase an exam retake first login to your ICPM account.   • What exactly is the Examination Assurance Insurance (EAI)?
    Are you someone who does not like to take tests or exams? Do you feel that you know the materials, but at exam time feel like you’ve forgotten everything, or your apprehension climbs the closer you get to taking the required certification exam? Then consider adding the Examination Assurance Insurance (EAI) to your purchase of each of your exams! Purchasing an EAI for each of the required exams will give you a 2nd chance at taking that exam in the event that you do not pass it the first time. Each EAI purchased will give you one additional chance to pass the required exam to move closer or achieve your certification with ICPM.
  • Is live virtual proctoring
    Yes, EAI is available for purchase at anytime throughout your certification program timeline. However, it cannot be purchased for an exam that you have already attempted.
  • What are the hardware requirements for Rosalyn Virtual Proctoring?
    To take a Synap Rosalyn-proctored exam, you'll need a computer with a working camera and microphone, a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari), a strong internet connection (500kb/s upload/download), and the Rosalyn application installed. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the Synap Rosalyn system requirements: Operating Systems: Windows 10/11 MacOS High Sierra, Catalina, Monterey, Ventura, Big Sur Hardware: Computer: Desktop or laptop Webcam: Working webcam Microphone: Working microphone RAM: At least 2 GB available Disk Space: At least 500 MB available CPU: Dual-core CPU Internet Speed: Minimum 500kb/s download/upload speed Dual Monitors: Not supported 64-Bit (32-bit computers are not supported) Software: Browser: Any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) Rosalyn Application: Download and install the Rosalyn application
  • What are the hardware requirements for Synoptic Virtual Proctoring?
    To take a Synoptic proctored exam, you'll need a computer with a working camera and microphone, Google Chrome (only Google Chrome is supported), a strong internet connection (500kb/s upload/download), and the Synoptic Google Chrome Plugin installed.
  • How do I access my exams?
    Login to your ICPM account, click CM or CS program tab on your account page, click CM or CS Course Access button to open up the learning portal. The exams will be waiting for you in the learning portal.

Payments/Invoicing

  • What is ICPM’s refund policy?
    1. Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase on selected items only. 2. A $15.00 restock fee will be deducted from the refunded amount. 3. All textbooks must be returned in their original packaging with a copy of the original receipt or invoice. 4. Returns, or request for refunds after 30 days of purchase will not be accepted. 5. Any requested, fully settled transaction, deemed applicable for a refund will be refunded for the amount paid minus any transaction fees, shipping fees, or applicable sales tax. 6. All refunds issued are applied directly to the payment method used for purchase
  • I completed my transaction/purchase and still do not have access…Why?
    Access to the online learning materials and/or exams will be granted after the purchases/authorized transactions are processed, normally within one business day after the authorized transaction has completed the settlement process.
  • How can I pay for the program that I want to purchase?
    1. Visit the ICPM home page and click the Get Started button. 2. Craft Your Certification Bundle by going through the 4 drop down options and click Add to cart 3.   • What are the payment methods accepted by ICPM?

  • Are textbooks necessary to succeed in attaining a certification?
    Study book(s), designed to aid overall understanding of program concepts for each certification program, are available for purchase through ICPM®. Purchase and use of any ICPM® study book does not guarantee that an applicant will raise their exam score or pass an exam. Purchasing of study books are recommended but not required.
  • Am I able to purchase, or have access to a digital copy of the textbooks?
    Yes, digital textbooks (eBooks only) are available for purchase on the ICPM web store.
  • I purchased my exams and no textbooks. Am I still able to order books separately now?
    Yes – ICPM® textbooks and ebooks are available for purchase at any time on the ICPM web store.
  • Is there any company or person that can ‘teach’ me or help me complete your certification?
    ICPM does have instructional partners across the globe. Please contact Partners@mail.ICPM.net for more information.
  • How can I contact someone at ICPM?

  • As a partner, how can I make sure my students are enrolled in your program?
    As a partner, you have access to ICPM’s Partner Portal. When you log in and click on your Partner Portal link, you will be able to see the status of the students in the classes that you had created.
  • How can I become a partner with ICPM?
    Please complete the Partner application here. Once completed, your application will be reviewed and your partnership status will be communicated to you. Upon approval: i. an agreement will be emailed to you for signature. Once this has been returned, you will then receive your price list ii. ICPM’s partnership logo will be emailed to you for your marketing use. iii. Please submit your logo for our use on our partnership page. Any other questions, please contact: Partners@mail.ICPM.net
  • Why should I become a partner with ICPM?
    Do you have a number of employees that you would like to see credentialed through ICPM? Perhaps you have clients that have asked you to help them gain a management certification…Either way, being a partner gives you the marketing visibility on ICPM’s website, substantial discounts on products that you can either pass along to your clients, or keep those discounts to increase your profits, and access to online resources for you and your clients.
  • What is the difference between an IP or a AP partnership designation?
    The partnership definitions of IP and AP stand for: IP – Instructional Partner AP – Associate Partner The primary difference between these 2 designations are in how the partner is expecting to pay for their student’s access to ICPM’s certification programs. If you would like ICPM to bill each of your students individually then you would be classified as an AP. If ICPM is able to bill the partner for multiple students at one time (a whole class for example), then they would be designated as an IP.

Program Information

  • I completed my CM or CS certification program exams, what are the next steps/when will I receive my certification credentials?
    Once you pass your final CM or CS exam you will officially be a Certified Manager or Certified Supervisor. Your ICPM account page will be updated with your certification date, CM or CS number, CPE date, certification expiration date, certification digital badge and one download of your attained certification digital diploma (please allow 24-48 hours for your account to update as ICPM verifies exam results).
  • I want a digital certification diploma. How do I obtain one?
    All ICPM certification diplomas are now digital. Attained the CM or CS certification will grant you one certification digital diploma download on your ICPM account page. If you wish to purchase another download you will see the option to do so on your ICPM account page. You may also purchase a download via the ICPM web store - CS Digital Diploma Download: https://icpm.net/product/cs-digital-download/ or CM Digital Diploma Download: https://icpm.net/product/cm-digital-download/ If you prefer a physical/printed diploma, that is available for purchase via the ICPM web store - https://icpm.net/product/certification-diploma-print/ (shipping and handling fees will be invoiced separately via email)
  • My certification program exams expired before I could complete the requirements to attain my certification. What are the next steps to regain access?
    All students whose certification program exams have expired due to timeframe terms can purchase a 1-month exam extension via the ICPM store - CS Exam Extension: https://icpm.net/product/cs-program-renewal-1-month/ or CM Exams Extension: https://icpm.net/product/cm-program-renewal-1-month/ (If multiple months are needed you have the option to pay month to month or purchase multiple 1-month program extensions at a time). You will also see the purchase option available on your ICPM account page if your certification program exams have expired already due to time frame.
  • My application is still under review. When will it be processed?
    Applications are reviewed within 24-72 hours of submission. Please check your email spam folder for communications regarding the status of your current application or need for further documentation. Please note your application must be approved before access will be granted to your purchased exams and learning materials.
  • I ordered physical textbooks. When will they arrive?
    Textbooks shipping within the Continental United States are processed and shipped to the address that you provided once payment for the course has cleared. Subject to shipping carrier time frames. Textbooks shipping outside the Continental United States are processed and shipped to the address you provided once payment for the course and shipping costs have cleared.   • What are ICPM’s shipping terms?

  • I am interested in dual designation certification between Canada and the U.S.A.
    ICPM and CIM Chartered Managers Canada have a reciprocal agreement for the Certified Manager certification. For more information please contact us at: Support@mail.ICPM.net
  • How do I determine if a CM or CS is the right certificate for me?
    Candidates should consider the following when deciding which certification to pursue: Level of education and work experience, Real world supervisory and/or managerial work performed, and extent of managerial knowledge.   • What are the CM certification program requirements?
    To qualify for the CM™ certification program, an applicant must have a combined total of at least ten (10) points.   • What are the CS certification program requirements?

  • Can I use a mobile device to access learning materials and/or exams?
    Mobile devices such as a tablet or phone cannot be used for testing. E-Learning study materials located on your ICPM client dashboard are accessible via a mobile device.
  • I recently heard that ICPM has a ACM program… what is it?
    The Associate Certified Manager (ACM) program is designed for those that don’t / can’t meet the full requirements for the CM Bundle (Experience & Education). With the completion of this program, you will be designated as an Associate Certified Manager (ACM), and issued a digital badge. Once you have met the full application requirements for the CM Certification (reviewed and confirmed), a one-time payment of $30.00 will allow you to convert your ACM into a CM with the full honors of a new CM to include a diploma to showcase your accomplishment in the world of management.

  • How long is my initial certification valid?
    Your certification is valid for one year, after initial certification attainment date. To maintain your current certification status your must purchase an annual maintenance fees (AMF) and submit CPEs every 3 years from your original certification date.
  • What is recertification?
    CM™ and CS certification embodies a commitment to life-long learning to stay current on ever-changing management practices. Therefore, all certification holders are required to recertify to maintain awareness and continued use of their certifications.
  • Why must I purchase?
    Recertification is required to maintain active use of all certification designations and associated benefits of attained certification status. Recertification is based upon certificate attainment date and due on or before that date
  • How can I recertify?
    1. Submit your annual maintenance fee payment 2. Submit the required number of CPEs for your certification before your CPE submission date (45 CPEs for CM and 20 CPEs for CS).
  • What are CPEs?
    CPE stands for Continuing Professional Education (CPE). CPEs are a way for all certificants to show that they are both retaining and staying current regarding management topics and areas.
  • How can I submit CPE’s to maintain my certification?
    CPEs are required for both CM and CS certification holders. For instructions on submitting your CPEs watch the following video:
  • My certification has entered lapsed status…how do I become current and active once again?
    Once a certification holder has been designated as Lapsed, the certification holder is required to purchase the appropriate Lapsed Recertification Fee to bring their account back to current status. For instructions on how to purchase the Lapsed Recertification Fee watch the following video:
  • I would like to retire….What steps or what is required for me to be able to do that?
    CM™ or CS™ certificate holders that wish to be designated as Retired status, must make their wishes known to ICPM® before their annual recertification date by agreeing to, and completion of the Certification Retirement Agreement
  • I’ve successfully passed my certification program, but I am no longer able to see the learning materials when I log in? Why not?
    For the CS and CM certification, students are given 12 months (CS) or 15 months (CM) to complete the exams. During that time, students have access to all the purchased learning materials. At the end of the program’s availability, or once you have completed the final certification exam, you are no longer able to access or see the learning materials (PowerPoint, exams, etc.). If you would like to continue to have access to those resources, you will need to purchase monthly access to those learning materials via the ICPM store.
