Because BYOAI is common, policy needs to be concrete and simple.

• Brainstorming, outlines, internal drafts (with review)
• Summaries of non-sensitive notes
• Rewriting for clarity and tone (no confidential inputs)

Not allowed:
• Entering confidential/client data into unapproved tools
• Publishing AI-generated content without human review
• Using AI outputs as the sole basis for HR decisions
• Representing AI output as verified fact without checking

Required:
• Disclose AI assistance in designated contexts (e.g., client deliverables)
• Save key prompts/templates in a shared space
• Verify factual claims and cite sources when needed
