I am grateful that the Certified Manager program was available to me through The Ohio State University continuing education program. I had taken some local supervisor classes but they did not delve into the detailed areas of management. At the time, I was managing a network operation center for a statewide university networking consortium. I did not have anyone that I could turn to for advice or any type of mentorship. I truly believe what I learned through the Certified Manager program helped me be a better manager and a fair manager despite walking through challenging times in the nine years that I was in that role.

It was wonderful to be able to achieve the Certified Supervisor certification online from a remote location. I was able to work my regular job alongside preparation for the CS credential. My first eye catching point was it is affiliated from James Madison University. The content is easy going and related to modern working place environment. After completion I received recognition from my company . Now I am planning to complete Certified Manager certification from ICPM.
